Welcome to Davana World Tour
Ana's from Mexico. Dave's from the UK. Between the two of us we have one serious travel addiction, zero plans to stop, and a blog where we try to be honest about all of it.
This is Davana World Tour — our adventure travel blog, written from the road, in real time. Not from memory. Not from a tidy flat somewhere with good lighting. Wherever we happen to be when we sit down to write.
Dave 🇬🇧
Mantra: "Man plans - God laughs"
Dave is English, an entrepreneur, and a man who has already travelled the world twice — which means when Ana comes up with something that sounds completely unreasonable, his answer is always yes. He stopped asking questions after the first trip. It saves time.
He has gone from luxury resorts in Southeast Asia to trekking at altitude in the Himalayas, from five-star restaurants to eating things he couldn't identify off a street stall at midnight — and he would recommend all of it. That range is real, and it's why the travel content on this blog works for every kind of traveller.
He is the navigator, the diver, the one who drives 5,200 kilometres down Ruta 40 in Argentina "just to see what's there." His background in business means the budget guides are genuinely accurate and the planning is solid. Rarely does it go completely off the rails — but when it does, it makes for excellent reading.
Ana 🇲🇽
Mantra: "The Goal is to live with memories - not dreams"
Ana is Mexican, wildly creative, and personally responsible for at least 90% of the ideas on this trip that started with "what if we just…" — which is also responsible for 90% of the best content on this blog.
She is the one behind the camera for every adventure, every sunrise, every moment that somehow looks even better on screen than it did in real life. Her Mexican roots give her a cultural radar that no travel app has ever come close to matching — she finds the food that isn't on any tourist map and connects with locals everywhere.
A stand-up comedian enchanted by sea turtles and armed with an inexhaustible appetite for ceviche — she believes travel is best experienced with humour, wonder, and flavour. She has zero fear. Which is either her greatest quality or her most dangerous one, depending on what day you ask Dave.
Put them together and what do you get?
A Mexican woman with a camera, a head full of ideas, and no fear whatsoever. An English entrepreneur who has seen enough of the world to know that the best experiences are almost never the safe ones.
Their differences aren't a complication. They're the whole point. Ana opens doors that Dave didn't know existed. Dave has been to enough places to know which ones are worth walking through. Together they connect with people everywhere they go.
The result is a travel blog with more range, more genuine connection, and more actual adventure than either of them could pull off alone. Also significantly more footage of Dave doing something he probably shouldn't be doing. Ana filmed it. She always does.
