We thought we knew Bali. Everyone thinks they know Bali. Then you actually get there and realise you had absolutely no idea. Yes, there are rice terraces and temples and genuinely transcendent sunsets — but there's also the best food we've eaten anywhere, surf breaks we had no business attempting, and a culture so warm and alive it stops you in your tracks daily. Then we got on a boat to Komodo and things got properly wild. Ancient dragons. Untouched reefs. Manta rays the size of dining tables gliding beneath us like it was nothing. Indonesia just keeps going. We are not complaining.
